This project required us to create a full retail buying and assortment strategy for Chico’s for a six-month period.

The Process

We analyzed Chico’s performance, customers, and industry trends—along with Macy’s as a competitor—to guide a six-month sales strategy. Insights on shopper behavior, economic factors, and retail trends informed our plan targeting +4.2% growth in key months. We built a detailed assortment plan with pricing, units, and monthly distribution. Final recommendations included more substantial social media presence, expanded e-commerce, improved loyalty programs, broader sizing, and greater use of AI. All insights and visuals were compiled into a polished PDF.
